For those with a life-limiting illness

The diagnosis and treatment of a life-limiting illness impacts a person and their surrounding family and friends emotionally, spiritually and socially. Questions, uncertainties and many emotions arise around maintaining meaning and control over our lives while also preparing for the road ahead.

Volunteer Visitors are trained hospice volunteers who accompany clients who are nearing end-of-life through the emotions and practical realities of living with an illness. They aim to support clients to live their best day, every day, and to provide non-medical comfort and care. Hospice care can offer support through all stages of an illness.
